New Braunfels Maternity Shoot at Overlook Park, Canyon Lake TX

This session gave me all the feels. You could just see so much love between this family. Their little boy was too funny and kept us laughing the entire time. He’s going to be a great big brother. How cute is her baby bump and how amazing does she look?! It’s nothing short of a miracle of what our bodies can do.

Their outfit choices were perfect! They told me that they had just pulled everything together, they definitely have good style! I love when my clients bring an outfit change. I try to choose locations where we can walk a short distance and get a totally different look. Especially with outfit changes. It gives you more variety in your gallery and for your home.

I am booking into July right now but still have some availability in May and June. When booking a maternity session with me I do give a discount on my newborn sessions if both are booked with me. Payment can be made separately at each session time. Also I just want to say a BiG THANK YOU to every repeat client and each new one. These past few months have been so amazing getting to see familiar faces and new ones. I have been busy with baby’s, cake smashes, senior’s, engagements, families, and weddings. I absolutely love this gift I have been given and am so so grateful to stay busy…especially after the year we’ve all been through!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I thought this newborn session would be a good one to share since mom requested pinks and violets <3

Before each of my newborn sessions I do communicate with my clients asking if there are any certain colors or setups they would like. I can completely style the sessions but I always like some input to make sure we are on the same page. Some just tell me that they trust my judgment by seeing examples of my work. I do always appreciate that! I absolutely love my job and I hope it shows.

I do also encourage to have parent and family poses done. I know most moms don’t feel their nicest especially after have a baby and lack of sleep. Mom did hesitate at first but I sent her an example of a back lit family pose and that is what she decided to do. I promise as you look back in a few years you’ll be so happy you had them done. I am so happy we did them because they are beautiful and you can see all the love <3

From the moment this family stepped into my studio I could just see the pure joy and love they already had for their sweet little girl. Baby was just a little over 5 pounds and she is just perfect.

Family Pictures in Schertz, TX

This family was so fun to work with! The kids had so much personality and had fun playing in between poses. I like to take my time, especially with family sessions with little’s. I don’t expect them to take direction for an entire session so there are lots of breaks letting them play and run some energy out. And then when ask to pose a certain way they give me that 30 seconds to 1 minute of time 😉 that’s all I need!

You can just see the love between them all <3

I love this location so much! It’s a top contender when I recommend areas. The sun sets so beautifully here so I always recommend shooting about 90 minutes before sunset. Plus within a walking distance you can totally change the scenery.

Let’s get your family session booked! I feel like we always hesitate when it comes to family portraits. It’s a task in itself to coordinate outfits and get everyone ready that day and then of course dealing with the husband lol but I promise when you look back you won’t regret having them done. Our kids grow way too fast and these are great memories as they grow up. I remember my youngest son’s 1st birthday pictures. He didn’t want me to put him down, it seemed like the session was just a waste. When I got the pictures back, I absolutely loved them, they are still some of my favorites. And they take me back to when he was still so needy of me. I promise I try to make it fun and relaxing for everyone.

Happy New Year!! I know I am a few weeks behind 🙂

I just had this couple’s sweet baby girl in the studio. I’ve had these images resized waiting to be blogged for a few weeks now and I am finally just getting to it. It’s so easy to move on to the next session but this one I just love so much!

It was so windy the morning of this session. I was out at my oldest’s championship baseball tournament and it was so cold. I kept asking my client if she was sure she didn’t want to reschedule due to the weather and she said no, it would be fine to keep our appointment. Thankfully we did! The wind died down and we got the most beautiful golden sunset. And my son ended up winning their championship game that day as well!

As we were chatting through email before the session date she asked if I helped with posing. I absolutely do. I am always learning and trying new poses to make me grow in this gift. I can see what I want in my head and I will help direct you and your family. That is part of my job. I want to see the love and connection between a couple or family, and these two did not disappoint. Plus her outfit choices were on point <3

I will be sharing their sweet baby girl here next. It was so wonderful to see them again at their newborn shoot now as a family of 3.

This session put some excitement back in me. I feel like when we run a business the everyday stuff can get me down. I love being behind my camera and meeting people and when I met this couple I was lit back up.

We discussed their maternity session about a month before it happened. We went over locations and the best time to shoot, and they were open to all of my ideas. We had perfect weather and the location was beautiful. Once I arrived and met them I also got to meet their sweet pup, Oliver. I am a dog person (I have 3) so it was a fun surprise that he came along. Plus I feel like dogs are apart of families so they should be included too 😉

Nicole was glowing. They both were so laid back and go with the flow. They mentioned they just had extended family pictures done and that photographer really gave them no direction. They were thankful I was helping them with the poses. I am all about making everyone feel comfortable and I want to give you those flattering, beautiful and fun poses.

We chased the light that night <3 we started in the trees and then made our way down to the water. This shoot was good for my soul. And my clients loved their images. She wrote the sweetest words thanking me and that is what it’s all about for me…making people happy and doing what I love.
