New Braunfels Newborn Photography; Newborn Amelia

One of the best things I love about what I do is getting to meet my community.  I love getting to know my clients.  I love hearing your birth stories and how your pregnancy went.  Getting to see the love in a new family is amazing!

Newborn Amelia was perfect.  We did a ring shot on her toes with her great grandmother’s wedding ring. How beautiful is that ring!  When we did parent and family poses, the parents just melted into one another.  They are over the moon about their sweet baby girl.  It was so nice meeting them and getting to know a little about them during their time at the studio.

Newborn sessions are definitely a fav of mine and I take a lot of pride in my work.  I go with the flow of baby.  I do set a time limit but sometimes if baby needs some extra time, I take it.  I don’t rush my sessions because I want to give you my best.  I have a lot of training in newborn photography and newborn safety.  When you are looking for a newborn photography please don’t just base your decision on price.  A lot goes in to learning this art <3

I would love to meet more of my community.  I am located in New Braunfels, TX and I also offer in-home sessions as well.  Please reach out, I’d love to setup and plan your newborn session.  I am now booking November & December newborns.

New Braunfels newborn photography/ Newborn Kennedy

This sweet babe has been on my schedule a few months before her due date.  I met her mom through some mini sessions I ran through the summer and she found my information from my sister’s shop in downtown New Braunfels.  If you didn’t know, my building is on the same property as my sister’s shop, What Once Was Old Vintage.  Ya’ll should check her shop out, she has a lot of neat home decor  and carries an awesome paint line for DIY’ers.

Anyway…back to the session!

Her mom and I discussed some setups before her session and she brought in a few props for me to use.  We also did a military setup to honor her dad being a retired veteran.  I love personalizing sessions.  It makes me get creative!

This sweet one is a perfect addition to their family!

Maternity Pictures by New Braunfels Maternity Photographer, Heidi M

For this session I was found through my website….I wish more would find me here….but I am working on that 😉

My client wanted information on my maternity and newborn sessions.  I do discount my newborn sessions when both the maternity and newborn are booked with me.  Payment is still separate but I want my client to know that I appreciate them!

The couple requested the location to be by water but the tricky part was that we would be shooting on a holiday weekend.  And around New Braunfels on a holiday weekend, normally our water/ rivers are packed.  But this year all of our river parks have been closed.  I reached out to a photographer friend and was asking her about another location that I knew and if she thought it would work and then she recommend this spot.  My husband and I took a drive one day to check it out.  It was ok the first time I saw it, not my favorite location but it had water and another area with some pretty open fields and trees. It was pretty dried out when I first went there.  So that it the area we booked for.

A few days before the shoot we had some great rain roll in.  I was a little nervous thinking it wouldn’t dry out in time, but we are in Texas, lol!  And I am so thankful for that rain!  It made everything so green again, just in time for my shoot.  We met there and instead of having a beautiful sunset, we had a beautiful dark sky which made for a more moody look.  I love a good sunset shoot but this I loved just as much!

There was not a lot of people there and we had the part of the water all to ourselves.  It was beautiful!  I will definitely be using this location again.  I can’t wait to give it a go on a sunny day to see the difference.

I am looking forward to meeting their sweet baby girl in just a few more weeks.  How gorgeous is she?!  It is their first baby and she was still so tiny.  I feel like for some of us with our first baby’s it takes longer for us to start showing, or least for me it was this way.  Now the second baby, not so much!

I am so happy with this session <3

Gruene Maternity

I had the pleasure to work with such a sweet couple.  They were on a baby moon when we met up to shoot their maternity session.  I love that couples are taking the time before baby arrives for one last getaway as a family of two.

My client was glowing.  She was very photogenic and had such a pretty smile.  When I posed them you could just see the love they have for one another.  They both are so excited to be welcoming their son in the next few weeks.

They requested a location by water but a lot of our parks with river access are still closed due to COVID-19 :/ so I suggested this one area where we could access the water.  It’s normally pretty busy but that night we lucked out.  We started on one side of the river but the light was not great, then we moved to the other side and that was the sweet spot.  The light was so beautiful that night.  Then we moved about 1 mile down the road to an open field and wrapped up the session there.

I do offer a discount on my newborn sessions if both Maternity and Newborn Sessions are booked with me.  Ask me more about this.  It’s a great way to save some money plus getting to capture both of these big milestones in your life, pregnancy and newborn <3

High School Fun Portraits

When we did the fair last year I asked my niece and her friend if they would do some modeling for me.  I have never shot at a fair or carnival before and I have always loved those types of pictures with the rides in the background all lit up.  It was a little challenging with it being dark out but it was a neat way to find the light and work with what was available.  I love trying new things and then getting these kind of results.

These girls were so cute and they didn’t mind posing with a lot of people around us.  My niece is always up for modeling when I need her and I love that about her!  When I was a kid I was so shy and would probably never do anything like this with so many people around.

Our fair has been cancelled this year but I am looking forward to when it happens again.  I will for sure be taking my camera along with.
